ChakkiMod , Most Beautiful Place
Unknown11:28 1 comments

Chakki Mod is just about 30 kilometers from Chandigarh on the way to Shimla, Kasauli. A 40 minutes ride on the bike will take you there and you can enjoy the beauty of the nature and landscapes around.

The beauty of this place is you got mountains and a river bed flowing from here. This is one totally peaceful places i went to when i was living in chandigarh, There are no people around here and the only people you find there are those who came there to hangout, so this place is out of tourists sight,  and the only sound that you can hear there is the one coming from the waterflow or the blowing wind.

The rocks are being placed in a way in the water that you can sit on them and the water will come over you from your back. which gives a feel that you are in your own personal pool and having drinks with your mates.  You can take your own food there and have a little river side lunch with your friends.

There is only one Dhaba at the entry of Chakki Mod and you can get almost everything to eat there, and for the people who drink it is advisable to bring your own or rather get that from chandigarh as liquor is very costly there.  there are other restaurants at a distance so you can go there before or after hanging out at this beautiful place.

This is a place where you can go if you just have a day off and have to come back by night if you are near chandigarh

Street Shopping: Shastri Market(Sector 22), Chandigarh

Hey...!!

Today I would be telling you all about a street shopping place in Chandigarh. Since the last 5 years it has become a ritual that if I go to Chandigarh, I have to visit the Shastri Market, Sector 22. It’s a paradise for shopaholics who are looking for some great finds at dirt cheap price! The market always keeps up with the latest fashion trends. You can buy apparels, accessories, footwear and bags from here. You may sometimes come across branded clothes also. If you ever visit Chandigarh then you should definitely visit the place. You are sure to find something you would fall in love with. But you have to be real good at bargaining and always check the item thoroughly for any defect.

Right now the market is full of winter clothes. You can buy very cute cardigans, jackets, socks, caps etc. The collection is huge but needs loads of time and patience.

Smriti Upavan
Unknown00:02 0 comments

Smiriti Upavan of Chandigarh, India is a beautiful garden filled with trees. It is located between Rock Garden and Sukhna Lake in Sector 1. This garden was set up in 1988 with the view of planting trees for the departed souls. The term Smriti means 'remembrance' and Upavan means 'forest'. In the Chandigarh Smriti Upavan, the first banyan tree was planted by the then adviser Mr. Ashok Pradhan, in the memory of our first prime minister, Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru. Smriti Upavan serves as an apt place for silence and remembrance.

Bt now it is closed from a long time for touristers...and looks like a horror place.... if you go there at night, even in the evening, then u will feel some horror environment there..
